They're Vanille and Fang, two mayor playable characters in FF13 with an adorable relationship that totally goes beyond mere friendship... it's kinda hard to explain without getting into spoilers.

We get the new Playstation model exactly when the new Final Fantasy comes out. That has been our tradition since FF7 came out, and I'm looking forward to continuing it soon.

And maybe finishing the MGS series, I dunno.

Yeah, I've never been that into FF and I wasn't planning on buying XIII, but I will admit to being shallow enough that what I've heard about those characters makes me consider changing my mind.

Final Fantasy XIII is the first Final Fantasy game I've been excited about in years. The last one I was stoked about was Final Fantasy IX, for the record.

The characters, the music, the story, it all seems to be a great improvement over the last few FF games. X and XII really disappointed me (never played XI).

How many people who like this pairing have actually played the game and seen the relationship for themselves? I can't help thinking that people just like the thought of femslash rather than the actual pairing.

(I haven't played the game, btw, so I have no idea what these characters are like. I just get a bit confused by how all the people who are suddenly saving up money for a PS3 just because this pairing is the best thing ever can actually know that this is the best couple in FF history even before playing the game.)

Well, I've watched all of the cut-scenes they're involved in... does that count?

I must be honest and say that after watching a couple of their cut-scenes, I'm already sick and tired of their schmoop. But this is coming from someone who thought that the lack of romance in FFXII was very refreshing and dislike FF romances in general. How about a Final Fantasy focusing entirely on the power of friendship instead of the power of love?
