Unrelated but oh my Kate looks gorgeous.
And different strokes for diffferent folks, OP; even though you can be perfectly aware that LOST is so much beyond romantic involvements, if your enjoyment of it partly consists of the shipping, I understand why you wouldn't feel so great about it. I love this ship but totally see why people wouldn't.

Lol, I hear ya. The pairings are the reason I don't get involved with the fandom and just watch the show. I tried, but all people want to talk about were the couples.

I'd love to have some non-ship based Lost conversation, as well. I'm somewhat interested in the 'shipping, but most of the characters I enjoy together would never be canon couples, so it's not really as important to me. I love the theorizing and all that.

To respond to the actual secret(and seem veru hypocritical), I really dislike the pairing, and I'll be kind of disappointed, too.

I actually have to agree with something Evangeline Lily said when someone asked her the Jack or Sawyer question. She basically said that Kate has walked down both of those roads and perhaps it's time for her to move on and that's kind of the way that I see it too.

I think all the characters have grown in different directions, particularly Sawyer, who seemed to mature a lot in his relationship with Juliet. I wouldn't be thrilled with a Sawyer/Kate ending either, but at the same time, I do trust the writers to be faithful to the characters so whatever they do, I'm along for the ride.

I'm hoping that too. First, I'm kind of liking crazy, bereaved Sawyer. Second, for the final season, I really just want a focus on plot, not ships. I don't care who they fuck; I want to know what the fuck is going on!

I just don't see how it could work after his relationship with Juliet. Kate and Sawyer had their cute moments, and it did look like it could work between them for a while, but......not after Juliet, I don't think.

I love the ship, but I can't see it happen now, unless it's a few years later. Only because Sawyer just lost Juliet, who he knew and loved for 3 years. I think it would be wrong on Sawyer's end to just suddenly forget Juliet and fall back for Kate. It just wouldn't be fair for both.

Huh. I didn't care about the triangle at all, and I loved Sawyer and Juliet together. But then in the premiere this week when she's in the elevator in the handcuffs, and he helps her get away? So much potential partners-in-crime win! I totally want them to end up together in the non-Island timeline, just not in the Island timeline.

Although I'm not in Lost solely for the shipping, I think it is an important part of these characters' development, whether I like it or not. I can't help but feel ending up with Kate would be a huge step backward for Sawyer's character, and I say this not just because the Suliet ship completely took me by surprise and made me absolutely adore it, but given the way Sawyer has matured over the past 3 years and the way Kate... hasn't, I just can't help but believe that ship has sailed.

IA with this, I've always strongly disliked how Sawyer acts when he's around Kate. I like him much better when he's not sharing the screen with her.

That said, I went into the show assuming that they would end up together so I won't be surprised if it does happen.
