I feel that he is obnoxiously religious. He has to put his faith into all of these situations where it's not necessary, and he really babies Bones. I feel like he's trying to change her. And I miss the old Bones (character) before she depended so much on him.

For me, it's really just a personal thing. If he were a real person, I would not want to meet him or speak to him.

I'm not sure I agree on the religious aspect, but I do agree on the babying Bones aspect. It's gotten really bad in the past couple of seasons, and it's doing both characters a grave disservice.

But this show's pretty much gone down the crapper in the past few seasons altogether, although I do find S5 watchable, as opposed to S4, which still makes me want to gouge my own eyes out with a knitting needle.

Booth S1-2 was awesome. Booth S3 and beyond is insufferable. It was over for me the minute Brennan found him in the tub with that ridiculous beer hat and comic book. I keep watching this show because I can't not, but I can't even say how much I hate what the later seasons have done to these characters I used to love :(

I'm not the biggest fan of him in the latest seasons, but honestly the writing has just gotten so bad recently. I mean, what was up with yesterday's episode involving that extended joke thinking a Muslim character was a terrorist, for the lulz? :| And just in general, the characters have become stereotypes of their former selves. Yet I just keep watching in the hope that it will get better...

Dude, that's pretty much the exact reason I stopped watching the show after last season. (Well, that and the fact that they ignored the squints and put about 99.9% of the show's focus on B/B, which I don't care about that much) It's too bad, really. It was so great the first couple of seasons it was on the air.

I wouldn't say I hate Booth. I'm a total S1-S2 Booth fan. After that, I lost complete interest in him. Now, he's a shell of what he used to be. Actually, all the characters are save, IMO, Hodgins and Cam.

I don't hate him. I despise what the writers have done to his character. He used to be noble, heroic, intelligent, and flawed. Now he's dumb downed so much he's just one big flaw. If I had made this secret, I would have put a picture of Hart Hanson instead.
