For the most part, everyone has moved on. Now it's all about Cameron's Avatar and the other Avatar movie, The Last Airbender. Don't worry. You'll get sick of them soon enough.

I personally don't understand the investment some people have in disliking any sort of fictional story/character/whatever. Yeah, so you hate it. Go find something you like and put your energy there.

I thought it had died down for the most part. Maybe it's just me living under a rock or something but I've not heard much of anything about Twilight for a few months now.

If you posted this a while ago I would have agreed. But I haven't seen Twilight wank in a while.

Just avoid as many places where you know Twilight will be discussed. Once the new movie comes out, it will get talked about. Lately I haven't heard much. At least we know the hype will probably be dead after all the movies come out after a while.

Once again for the cheap seats: why hate when you can LOL? That's my motto.

Becuase it's really, really, really fucking annoying to have to listen to "LOL TWILIGHT IS SO LAME AND GAY AND SUXXORS HARD" every day. Nothing screams "insecure loser" like the need to mock anything and everything that makes you uncomfortable.

You know, I actually tried to go a whole week without hearing anything about Twilight, because I'm fucking sick of it. It almost worked too, until I read this secret. :/ Anon, just stop talking about it. It'll go away on its own, and only occasionally be resurrected when a new movie comes out.

If you're that bothered by hearing people's opinions on popular fiction, this is really not the right comm for you.

Yeah, I don't think I've seen a Twilight secret for a while until yours.

I get tired of the whole "it sucks because real vampires don't sparkle" thing. Sure, it's kind of stupid and Meyer is super-inconsistent with it, but vampires are fictional. Authors have used or discarded bits of folklore and also made up shit since the Victorian Era at least. Meyer's not special in that regard. Anyway, I often find that people who complain about that miss the more pernicious aspects of the series. There's a girl in my fiction writing class who complains about that, but went ahead and modeled the love interest of her short story on Edward Cullen. I enjoy criticism of Twilight, but only if it's intelligent.

What I find funny is that in the past two months there have been far more secrets attacking Twilight "haters" and there have been secrets attacking Twilight itself. And people call the "haters" obssessive? Pot, meet kettle.

If you are really so tired of hearing about Twilight, then why post a fandom secret about it, and invite the wankst to begin?

I made a f!s EXACTLY like this, pretty much word for word but scrapped it. I find people who can't stop whining about those books/movies far more annoying than Twihards, since the Twilight fans kinda keep their insanity contained in their comms but the Twilight bashers annoy me in all kinds of places that are completely unrelated to Twilight.

The reason I deleted it was because it stated my opinion that if you focus, bitch, whine and complain about ANYTHING that much... I consider you a part of that particular fandom. Doesn't matter that you're not a fan, if you're that pissy and involved enough to make a s! about it I pretty much either lump you in with them by default or assume you're actually a closet fan.
