I don't know what to say except...the ending is probably one of the most effecting TV moments ever for me. But I did feel like I was almost in mourning afterwards so...

Six Feet Under is one of the best shows I've ever watched. And I've never seen such a masterfully handled series finale, either. I cried more watching the end of that series than anything else I can even think of, and not just because it's so hard to watch the thing end, but it was just a beautiful way to do it. I know it's hard, and I loved Nate too, but it's absolutely worth it ♥ Watch! You'll be glad you did!

Well, maybe not 'glad' as in 'happy'. But it's really a touching and meaningful ending.

The pain is worth it, OP. Watch the rest of the series.

It's definitely hard, but very much worth it at the end. Honestly, I found the final episode really uplifting. The ones before it were hard to watch, but also incredibly cathartic. Give them a shot :)

I have watched and enjoyed TV since SFU, but I will never love another show as much. It was perfect, right up to the very end. Brace yourself, OP, then go fo it!

The final episode, the final scenes in particular, moved me in a way no other tv series has ever managed. Massive amounts of crying, yes, but so worth it. :)

Nate's death and everyone dealing with the aftermath is *incredibly* painful to watch, and I didn't even like him that much anymore. But yeah, the last stretch of episodes and the finale are amazing, so I hope one day you do decide to watch them.

I watched on sporadically and the only moment that ever engaged me emotionally was when Claire was on drugs and was singing Death Cab for Cuties songs.

That ending still made me cry. More than once.

Good call, OP? Or maybe the catharsis would do you some good? It's pain but it's not bad pain if that makes any sense.

I loved this show very much, and for all the appropriateness of the ending, the very thought still makes me cry, and I will likely never watch the show ever again because of its finale. Maybe that's immature, maybe that raises some huge issues about death that I will have to deal with when I finally lose someone very close to me, but that's how final the ending is.
If you enjoy re-watching the show, I don't suggest you watch the finale until you're ready to cut them all out of your life.
But, if you can handle the character!death, then yeah, you should prep yourself accordingly with tissue boxes and comfort food and just watch it.
