Pretty sure we'll see Alternate Juliet or Juliet X or whatever we're calling them hook up with Alternate Sawyer.
In fact, I'd be willing to bet her cryptic words about double dutch and going for coffee is something Alternate Juliet says at some point.

This. I read a spoiler before the season started that indicated Juliet was dead dead, so I wasn't expecting miracles. But I thought her death in the premiere actually worked in terms of the storyline and did leave the door open for Alterna-Juliet being alive and on the road to happiness somewhere, and that's good enough for me. I'm in a much better place with the show than I expected because of it. I thought I'd be broken and feeling exactly like anon during all of the final season.

I might have cared, if we'd seen more than about 20 seconds of their relationship and if we'd had more than one episode where Juliet wasn't constantly whining about Kate and the other O6ers.

Look, just stop watching the show if you have no interest in it. The fandom's probably not gonna miss you. I can't stand it when Lost "fans" whine about how their favorite character died and now all their hopes for the show are gone. Well, look, if you were in it for the characters and not for the intricate themes and writing and the immense journey then you were Doing It Wrong.

Juliet's death was absolutely shitty, but it's motivated the plot and character development. It wasn't for nothing. And we'll probably see her in the Sideways Reality anyway.

But hey, if it really bothers you that much, then pack your bags cause you're clearly not a real fan anyway.

Sorry, Juliet's death is as pointless and meaningless as everyone else's death has been.

Lost jumped the shark a looooooong time ago. Knowing that doesn't mean you aren't or weren't a real fan.

Look, anyone can find criticism with any show. I have my own problems with the directions writers have taken characters (notably the women), but I'm sticking with it because I'm just so curious to see the resolution.

I enjoy theorizing and I enjoy watching the superb skills of Terry O'Quinn, Michael Emerson, and Josh Holloway, who has really improved his game. I like watching a show that continues to cast and employ notable character actors who otherwise wouldn't be working. I like it that it's intellectually complex and dense and that it entertains you even hours after it has ended, because of all the easter eggs and other goodies.

If someone doesn't like the way the show has gone simply because Juliet is dead - and honestly, I don't know a single person who wasn't GUTTED by her death - then they can feel that way. But don't stick around fandom or pretend like the show has lost ALL of its magic because Juliet's dead.

She was a supporting character. She rocked, but there are other things going on. The plot didn't revolve around Juliet. Like I said: If you're that upset, then get the fuck out. But seriously... get a goddamn grip or something first. jfc.

And I don't think it has jumped the shark. Some episodes are weak, yeah. But other than that..? The show goes on.

I just think it's a bit ridiculous to judge the hows or whys of anyone enjoying (or no longer enjoying) a show. Who cares if the reason OP liked it was Juliette and now that she's dead OP doesn't really enjoy the show. You like the show for all the reasons you stated above. OP liked them for theirs.

I used to like the show. I don't enjoy it anymore but I'm sticking out the last season because I've put too much time into it already. I'm a real fan, but I definitely don't feel the way I used to about the show. Personally, I think it has jumped the shark, and the polar bear, and the four toed statue, and the frozen wheel. Etc. You get my point.

But I'm not calling anyone out for not being a real fan or telling them to walk the hell on out of fandom.

I'm not gonna compare Juliet to Boone, but I had to deal with a bunch of ninnies who quit watching Lost after Boone died, JUST because Boone died. My response to them was "OH I'M SO SORRY THE PRETTY BOY IS DEAD BUT THERE ARE OTHER GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE SHOW. LIKE, YOU KNOW, THE ENTIRE REST OF THE SHOW." And that's what I'm saying to the OP.

I think the final season so far has been good, but I don't know....there's this sense of....non-enthusiasm from this anon. Every season, even season three, I was excited to watch a new episode but this season, I've taken my time to getting to it.

Eh. I liked her a lot, but I didn't actually care that she died much. All my favourite characters (Shannon, Libby, Charlotte, etc) have died, so I'm used to it now. rofl. And I expect some more of them to die.

I don't understand why you would fake squee for the sake of your friends list. If your enthusiasm is gone, it's gone, your friends should either a. not care or b. if they really would ditch you over a friggin tv show, they suck anyway.

I was sad about Juliet too, but I grieved for her at the end of the last season because I really didn't expect her to survive that fall. Plus it's LOST, characters die, we move on.

Too many people I cared about have died in the earlier seasons for me to be bothered by one more. Everyone is disposable, all relationships are just angstbatter and change with the season. The only thing I'm emotionally invested in these days is the plot.

I wasn't too broken up about Juliet dying because (a) I thought she was already dead and (b) especially after reading recaps and theorycrafting and such that suggest that she was actually in the AU during her last moments, I don't think we've seen the last of her and Sawyer by a long shot. Even in Island Universe, I don't think we've seen the last of her with Sawyer, especially considering last week's episode.

So...I don't think she's completely gone, but I also don't understand why you'd pretend to still like something when you don't. :[

Well, I certainly hope the whole Sawyer/Juliet relationship is dead, anyway. If we see he in the alt, I want it to be to wrap up her whole Rachel thing, maybe with a side of Ben drama, and not as some sappy sidenote to Sawyer's already cluttered arc.
