I actually hated that entire storyline. Should've kept Charlie in S1 where she belongs.

I agree. I loved Charlie, but I hate the constant resurrection bullshit on this show. Her death was heartbreaking, but beautiful in its sadness. Bringing her back at all would have felt cheap, but bringing her back in the manner they did was even worse.

Spoilers, highlight:
Hiro went back in time to save her life and succeeded, but then Samuel sent her back to the 40s and refused to tell Hiro where she was until Hiro helped him. In the last episode, Hiro met her as an old dying woman. He offered to go back and get her in the past so she could live with him in the present, but she said she had had a good life and she had kids and grandkids who would no longer exist if he brought her back to the present, so he left it be.

I wish I had done what I said I was going to do and quit watching after the second season because I know that the farther into the series I go, the more thoroughly they'll fuck things up.

I loved Charlie, but I was pretty pissed they brought her back. I thought it was more damaging to her character, and her original story arc (but then, what on the show hasn't been fucked up)

I thought it was such a waste of potential for Charlie and for Hiro--and goddammit, I am so sick of Hiro getting shafted of happy endings in every season. Just because he's the most cheerful and optimistic character doesn't mean he deserves such shitty treatment all the time.

Yeah NGL, I thought it was pretty crappy the way they copped out of having to work in a romance for them, but...I was still happy deep down that they didn't get together *shrug*

now if they'd just take some chances on fleshing out Gretchen and Claire or hell even nu!Sylar and Peter...
