That's not really what OP was saying, though.

There's a difference between making things partially about the fuckin' and making them all about the fuckin'.

The latter is what OP seems to be whining about, not the former.

They said "slash fuel." That's a pretty vague term that I've seen blanket everything from guys looking at each other, to holding hands, to actively engaging in anal sex.

If they wanted to me more specific they had 600x600 pixel space to do it.

That might actually be a leftover perception from the older days of fandom (not that you were involved in older fandom, just how you came to that conclusion). There was a time when ANY slash had to carry an NC-17 warning, even just kissing, because it was considered aberrent and not safe for young fans to read. (So much for the entirely "good" old days of fandom.)
