It'll probably be more noticeable in the film, but since it's live-action instead of a cartoon it can be more subtle and be still the first thing you notice about the character.

The race!fail does bother me, but I don't think a different hair style is a big deal so long as the spirit of the character is still there. Compare this to movies based on books where the character doesn't match the description. This sort of thing happens all the time.

It is there. Faint, but there.

This is how actual burn scars look like in real life most of the time. It's not a matter of making him prettier or anything, but it's just how the scar would normally transfer to real life terms.

I can see it, even in the picture you used. I think they were trying to go for something realistic which in some cases, healed burn scars do look like that. They probably should have made it a little more dramatic though.

I would have been pissed if they made it cheesy and overdone, though.

Ok 1) The scar is there but it looks like a scar would in real life not in a cartoon.

2) Not everything is cookie cut right from the show! That's what make a live action movie interesting.
