Um. Anon. I love BtVS, and I love Spike, but you have a problem here. He may have loved her (and I do believe he did) but their relationship was totally fucked up and you don't want one like it. Really. Get out a bit more. There are guys out there who will understand you and, you know, not actually try to rape you.

Why is the sole focus here his un-relationship with Buffy?

Not that the BR scene was his intent.

Does no one remember his love and devotion to Drusilla (and yes, Buffy), before he was cast aside? If he actually dated someone sane or not a user and abuser, he would have been okay.

Essentially what I meant was I wish William--the poet--were real, but with the flare of Spike.

I don't know that two super love-obsessed people can really work that well together, especially not Spike, I think he's much happier being someone else's toy than he would be to have someone who actually appreciated him.

(To me, he's the guy I'd always want to be at a party because he does the best tell-offs and deep insight snide remarks of anyone)

Perhaps I should clarify--I now realize how misleading the use of a s6 promo pic was (I just liked it, is all)--but for the record, let's just say s5 of Ats Spike, when he IMHO, came into his own.

Buffy & Spike's relationship was so incredibly fucked up.

It made me sick watching it on screen. It hurt because it was so wrong.

But I still wanted him after it all was said and done, and I really felt for him in the end even as I was like "Oh god *shields eyes*" as he attempted rape :\.

Ensoulled version...just makes me sad. And I still wanted him.

I'm assuming that you mean you want someone who has the positive qualities you find attractive in Spike who you could have a healthy relationship with. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, and I wish you the best of luck.
