I'm pretty sure that "Lee" is the canon spelling of his alias. But let's be fair, it isn't like they're consistent with that -- See Ty Lee and the Dai Li, or Lee-That-Kid-In-Zuko-Alone vs Li-of-Lo-and-Li.

This amuses me because I have a close friend called Li (she's white; it's short for another name) and people always spell it Lee or Leah or Leigh. It's Li! :D
