I agree, his fem!America is pretty much perfect (though I am bemused by her losing her glasses while fem!England gains them). And I don't mind the glasses on fem!England either. It's the pigtails and to some extent the outfit that bugs me so much. Anon does not get a likely 1200-2000 year old nation with a physical age of 23 dressing like a sixteen year old schoolgirl, especially given England's personality and desire to be taken seriously. Anon is of the opinion she would try to appear more ladylike, just as canon!England tries to look the gentleman, even if they're both hooligans/punks/pirates underneath.

I admit, I do think about this too much for a series that's supposed to be mostly humour/cute and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if you aren't English you have a say about this, so please don't think I'm saying if you're foreign your opinion is less valid. I think my main beef is that I wish there was more alternative fem!England art/fic out there.

Nah, I was just saying that it's not my country because, well, people tend to feel strongly about their own country, while me... in this case I just go by which one is cuter. :D (And, well, Himaruya's version is canon.) But FWIW, girl!England has no canon physical age. For all we know she's physically 17 or something. I mean, look at girl!Japan, she's a schoolgirl (and she's an older nation than England). And girl!America can be anywhere between 15 and 19.

Oh I see, Okay, I was just making sure, I don't want anyone to feel offended by my opinion or anything ^^; Himaruya more than likely did draw them just to be cute, as is his way(and I agree, his is canon, I'd never dispute that). Hmm... you might be right, I figure though she is probably equivalent to male!England in physical age but until Himaruya actually says anything though (if ever) it's all up for debate I guess.

OP, I agree with you. She doesn't look like female version of Arthur Kirkland in my opinion. I can't imagine anyone wearing those pigtails and red glasses during Victorian Era, for example.

Who says she'd wear pigtails during the Victorian era? There are a million things you can do with that hair, it's not permanently fixed in pigtails. (As for glasses... re: Austria.)
