Re: #3 - When someone mentions Sonic, I have to speak.

Sonic X was definitely not what I was expecting it to be, which wasn't much after I realized they would have other humans in it. Maybe it's just me but I always liked the idea that Robotnik (and possibly Snivley! ;)) were the only humans around.

I'd recommend picking up the GBA Sonic Advance games since they're mostly sidescrollers. Also, the DS game seemed pretty decent from what I've played although the boss battles are completely different (they utilize the DS's touchscreen)

But hey, another Saturday morning Sonic fan always brings a smile to my face, so don't learn to shut up. ;)

Thanks for the game recs, I'll be sure to check out the ones on GBA, although the DS game will have to wait, as I have yet to obtain one. D;

Likewise, it's always a pleasure to meet a fellow SatAM fan. ^^ We do exist!

I have to wait for the DS game myself seeing as my friend has had it for months and I only had it for a couple of days before lending it to him. :) And I'm 400+ miles away so I can't exactly go pick it up whenever I like, heh.

But who said we exist? :) Seriously though, every fan of Sonic I meet is mainly an AoStH fan or a fan of the newer generation games.

I tried to give Sonic X a chance, but I couldn't get into it. I heard the 2nd season got better, but I don't know much about it. :P

I had a hard time giving it a chance because of the human characters. Chris annoyed the hell out of me, I didn't like that his parents were rich movie stars, the maid annoyed me and so did the butler. It kind of made me worry that the maid was hispanic and the butler was, I'm guessing, Japanese. =\ Not because I have problems with other races, but because of the roles they were given in the show. All the human characters killed it for me, except for possibly the blond cop that teamed up with Rouge. Hell, even "Eggman" bothered me with his two lackey robots (This might be because I preferred Scratch and Grounder or the Swatbots).

It probably doesn't help that the characterizations of Sonic and Knuckles felt a bit off to me. Sonic was always so... lazy and peaceful with no attitude at all and Knuckles just seemed like a pure idiot without any redeeming qualities. Maybe that's just me.

I watched some of the second season and didn't like it much. Some episodes were okay but really... I couldn't get into it either.
