Not specifically fandom-related, but I always feel like such an ass for getting so stoked over the Olympics and then never caring about the Paralympics.

I lived in Canada, and they spammed all sorts of ads for Vancouver's Olympics, for four years.

I've seen one ad for the Vancouver Paralympics. It was just recently, and was an athlete profile. It made me go "wait, what?" because I literally had heard nothing else about the games, and had no idea what they were talking about.... Come to think of it, I haven't heard anything else about it since.

TL;DR -- Underexposed event is underexposed, and that's a damn shame.

I went to the Paralympics when I was studying abroad, and those guys are HARDCORE. Paralympics need more love, winter or summer.

I don't care about fandom -- I just wish more people cared. As soon as the Olympics rolled out people were pretty much "What now?"

How about supporting the Paralymics guys? These are guys are athletes just as amazing as in the Olympics. I'm going to go to Curling and I tried sledge hockey but it was sold out which did made me happy for the support.

Australia and the UK usually have pretty good Paralympic coverage of the Summer games (actually, we had every event from Beijing, yay!) so I hope they do as well for the Winter Games. I'll be watching!

I don't really care for sports fandoms, but I wish the Paralympics (summer or winter) had more time to shine. ;__;
It would be better if the Paralympics came *before* the Olympics, like a taste of what's to come, or more than a taste at least!

I don't do Olympics fandom but I do agree the former is underexposed.

Also, I think the Paralympics logo is way better than the Vancouver one. I'm sorry but that one is kind of really stupid.
