I don't go in just to judge them, and I said most. There have been some members who have been downright nasty to some friends for no reason at all. Just because a person ships B/B doesn't make them a bratty fangirl, which is what they all seem to think. Some comments about the show I agree with, but the hatred for people who ship B/B is ridiculous, espcially because we're not all like the crazy stans.

I'm a B/B shipper... or kind of a former B/B shipper and I don't get any hate over there.

I think it's some of the B/B shippers out there who want the show to be nothing but B/B and don't care about anything else that give B/B shippers a bad name sometimes, and that's why some people poke at them. But trust me, the members of daysofourbones know that not all B/B shippers are like that. There's just usually a generalized wording... but if you know you're not one of them then why should it bother you?

I can't speak for anyone else in the comm, but I have no hatred for those who ship Booth/Brennan. I used to be one who loved the Booth and Brennan partnership; very unfortunately, I'm now one who has become so sick of their relationship because the writers spent the better part of season 4 beating us over the head with poorly written, over-the-top, unsubtle episodes that kept telling us that Booth and Brennan care about one another and are 'in looooove' with one another and should be together when we already know this. We've seen it through their adventures and experiences together as professional partners and friends!

The writers have ruined Booth/Brennan for me. I used to adore their 'moments' (like with Jasper the pig, or when Booth had Brennan's earring at the end of that New Orleans episode, or every time they challenge each other in their work, or most especially, the fun sing-along with 'Hot Blooded' before the gasp-worthy moment when the fridge blows up). Now I find myself sighing heavily and wishing season 4 had never happened so I might still care if they get together. I want to care, but the writers pushed it too much, at the expense of any other storylines and character interactions, including decent emotional character development for Booth and Brennan as individuals. But that's a whole other post. *chuckles*

Regardless, I don't think it's a fair assessment of us as a group, calling us 'elitist, judgmental bitches.' (I do notice you said 'most,' not all, but I still disagree with 'most.' *GRIN*) If you disagree with what we have to say, okay, that's one thing. But we have a right to our opinions just as you have a right to yours. If someone from our group is contesting your right to say what you feel about the show, say so. Challenge them! Talk to them about what you believe and what you enjoy. Use examples -- we appreciate examples and thoroughness, believe me. They may still not agree with you, but the people I know in that community will give you the room to have your opinion and the respect you deserve if you don't immediately talk to them like they're all bitches and have no right to their opinions or that they should 'just stop watching,' which really isn't a fair suggestion. We don't say these things because we're trying to be jerks or because we want to be contrary to those who are extra-enthusiastic about the show or because we just want to complain. We have wishes for this show just as you probably have wishes for certain things to happen (or not happen). We express our frustrations because we love (or once greatly loved) this program and we want to see its writing elevated back to the quality it once had.

Anyway. Those are my thoughts on the matter at this time. With all due respect.

I still ship B/B, and that community is my favorite that I've ever been in. Be glad we confine our snarking to there instead of incessantly arguing with the whole Bones fandom. And if you don't like it, you could stop reading it. *shrugs*
