Perhaps the problem is then that 90% of the fic sucks? Admittedly I last ventured into the Pit way back before AC2, when it was mostly Altaïr/Mary Sue, but even in the slash I wasn't exactly blown over by the quality of fic...

*goes off to finish AC2 so she can search for Ezio/Leo without having to beware the spoilers*
