Functioning alcoholism: so often romaticizable, so problematic. I'm behind in SPN, so I don't know how they handle it, but for me personally I totally buy into the romantic myth of alcoholism. I'm constantly reminding myself: yeah, it looks cool in stories, but nobody likes a 20/30/40 year old who pees the bed.

And besides being awesome and hilarious at the time, drunken!Sammy in Playthings is one of the best gifs of all time, which I would totally post here if I knew how.
