It is if your motivation for being upset is centered in the fact that his major value as a human being is producing children. And that's often the case with female celebrities. Jennifer Aniston can't have babies OH NO.

The OP was upset and claimed he/she almost CRIED because a female film director doesn't have any children to inherit her talent and beauty.

As if talent and good looks are always passed from parent to child. The secret makes an inherently stupid assumption about genetics, and is sexist because it centers on the child-bearing abilities of someone the OP doesn't know and isn't connected to.

It's nobody's business whether a celebrity has children.

Good people (and their genes) are hard to find. I can understand why anon was upset when he/she found out a talented person won't pass those genes forward.

And yeah, good genes don't always equal good kids (what ever happened to Einstein's kids?) but on the other hand, both Bohrs and both Curies won Nobel prizes.

Talent and beauty are not always passed on and things are tricky on the beauty business because there's no universal gold standard for beauty.

But evolution, all 4,600 years of it, is nothing but passing on the best bits of yourself onto your children.

At this point the OP might have given up on the idea that nurture will do anything to improve mankind. But look around. We are the most cultured living beings on this planet and what do we do with it? Bicker on fandomsecrets, using our made in china computers - products of human rights and environmental abuse.

Maybe they think that only biological evolution can better us now.
