Is it weird that this strip reminds me of exactly why I loved that character?

I kind of love the way Collin turned out. I thought it was super interesting and that it really made sense for where the characters arced in terms of the last comic. That being said, I'm sort of dying to know what's happened to Fox. I'm waiting badly to see when he shows up in the comic.

I would agree with you, except for what the writer said about how Fox turns out. Apparently, he's unemployed, living in Danny's neighborhood (which shows how far he's fallen), still in love with Collin, and pursuing a grudge against the company Collin works for (who he blames for their break-up). According to what I've heard, Fox is a stand-in for her ex-girlfriend, so I doubt things are going to get much better for him.

Eh. That's a shame, I loved Fox. It was sort of sad how he slowly fell from having tons of friends to just Derringer and I think the relationship really effected him badly. I didn't see either of them as being the bad guy, I just saw that Fox was sort of turning into his dad and also not taking a lot from the relationship.

So... I will hold out hope for him having a happy time somewhere soon.

Oh, that's a good point about Fox turning into his Dad. Though I'm curious, do you mean that his relationship with Derringer was effecting him badly, or his relationship with Collin?

No, I loved Derringer. I just meant that Fox started the comic making friends with everyone and knowing everyone. He even made friends with someone that tried to kill him previously for guitar rape. He was just that kind of guy. But through the course of the comic (or arguably the relationship, but I saw lots of factors, including his job) he basically tailspun into having one friend -- Derringer. Whereas Collin had basically no friends other than Fox and by the end of the comic he had more, was more in touch with sexuality, had reconnected with his parents, was even flirting.

I've heard that too but... Let's wait and see. She's been saying on her forum that she really misses Fox and can't wait to start writing him again, and it looks like he'll have more screen time than Collin, if I remember what she said correctly and from the fact he has his own mini-bio whereas Colin is shares his with Creed.

Part of me thinks that those who say Fox is a stand in for her ex are those who are unhappy with the Colin/Leon situation. Of course I'm not privy to the author's private life, but I would rather believe she's using the Rule of drama than projecting.

For all that people cry about OPB ruining FH (understandably), Collin has appeared in like three strips so far. I can't imagine why anyone would still be reading OPB only for Collin and Fox if they're that hung up over it.

Can someone tell me the name of the strip? Just curious. :D
