I'm still thinking about this. I think part of it is because mpreg is in a sort of fetish grey area -- a lot of fic writers just use it as a story element because they want cute babies, or baby drama, or a family dynamic, so I guess there's kind of ... fetish deniability?

Whereas IME when you see fat fetish porn, you KNOW it's fat fetish porn.
