This secret ... idgi. At all. If you're well-known, then when you post, people more than likely respond and will converse with you, or leave feedback if you're posting fanwork. That's interaction and it's not 'lonely' unless you're aloof and distant with everyone and/or don't respond to comments. If you feel lonely because people don't ever comment to you, what makes you think you're well-known? *trying to understand*

In my last fandom, like one person consistently liked my fics, but I had a bunch of friends because I left good feedback and was generally pretty much a good fandom citizen. So even though I didn't get a lot of feedback on my fics, I felt like people went out of their way to be nice and encouraging to me, like I was their little sister or something.

In my current fandom I get more love for my fics, and I still have a bunch of friends, but it's definitely not the same "oh honey what do you need can I give you a rec or something" attitude. So maybe OP misses that? I already have a big sibling IRL, but if I didn't I could maybe see myself missing that attitude from my fandom friends.

The more popular become, the more people watch you and judge you waiting to see you take a fall. People approach you with preconceived notions. They make assumptions. They think they know you when they don't.

You can't be yourself any more. You have to watch every word you write.
