I propose the Avatar fandom starts anew. We put aside are petty shipping differences, agree the movie will probably be racist crap, and bask in the awesomeness that was this series.

Although I will say that the one thing I have enjoyed regarding the film and the controversy that's resulted is that it's broken down the barriers between ships quite a bit. Hard to argue over shipping preferences when you're united behind "WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS MOVIE."

That, I'll take your word for. I sort of left the fandom after the race!wank became a bit too much to bear and have mostly stuck to loving the show and hating the movie/supporting racebending outside of fandom.

That's really good to hear though! I'm glad most people have their priorities in check.
