I never did understand the whole being into slash = fighting for gay rights thing.

Wait, isn't Ryan gay? Why would the fans hate gays if one of the guys is gay?

I just can't believe that Celtic Thunder has a fandom, or that anyone would admit to being in said fandom. It's like a far more competent version of a high school chorus variety show in the US, or Lawrence Welk for the 21st Century. To each their own and I guess I'd rather my kids be watching Celtic Thunder than doing drugs but if I ever caught them watching Celtic Thunder, I'd have to assume they were already high.

To speak to the other part of this secret-- it does suck that you can't equal-oppurtunity perv on a good looking guy, even if the demographic of Celtic Thunder fans is more or less the same as the demographic for the good old LWS. It'll be a great day when such things aren't even an issue at all and middle aged housewives who think that men in pastel suits covering lite rock from the 1970s and Broadway favorites is a good time and teenagers from America's heartland and gay men can all appreciate a clean-cut young guy together.

I just felt like adding that I work in a nursing home, and therefore spend 40 hours out of every week in a world where Lawrence Welk is still totally a big deal.
