Well I think there's a difference between writing RPS (aka Brian/Joe) or just Quoldemort.
Maybe there's a compromise for you out there? For example writing Quoldemort with the unique touch those two give the characters...
That wouldn't be RPS, at least not in my eyes.

And... I could imagine that at least some of them would find that funny. ;)

Why? I mean, there are people out there writing Draco/Hermione, Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny all the time without making it RPS or almost-RPS to AVPM. ;)
You know, I'd like to read a Quoldemort with a touch of AVPM. :)

Yeah, I agree with the above in that writing about the characters =/= writing RPF. I can't say how they'd react to fic in any form, but I can't see them being too bothered if they're Internet-savvy since odds are, they'll have come across similar writings before anyway.

This sounds very much like my first experience with the musical. :(

I was only gonna watch the first scene. Then the first act, because the first scene was really good. AND THEN I HAD TO KNOW IF VOLDEMORT AND QUIRRELL MADE UP--

And then it was like 7 am. :(

Even if they find your fic they're more likely to be bemused and mostly ignore you.
