That's not what I got from the secret. I think you misunderstood. The OP is saying that they think other people would think older man/young girl is more okay, not that the OP agrees with that. If the OP thought older woman/young boy was not okay they would not be shipping Lightning/Hope...

Okay then it's creepy that they think OTHER people will think that.

Why is that creepy? I can understand how someone could think such a thing - lolicon is really popular. There's a really well-known book about it, even; Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. It was once expected (and still is, in some cultures) for pre-teen girls to marry men as old as their fathers. It's far less common for the woman to be the older one in a relationship.

I don't necessarily agree with OP's assumption, I just find it odd that you think it's so "creepy."
