Hello there, me. I've been lurking around F!S for ages and I've never seen a Highlander secret before, and then three days after I start watching the series again this secret shows up, so you must be me. Hell yes, a reboot would be awesome.

Seriously, some day there needs to be a revival of the series ignoring the last few movies with Methos right in the thick of it along with Joe and with good writers and good plots. Instead of whoever wrote those bloody movies.


(And if they could do some more in the way of D/M subtext that'd be awesome)

Anon, I understand why this is a secret. After The Source, I'm ashamed to admit that I'd love to see new Highlander movies or series but it's such a great concept and it's got so much unexploited potential. Plus, hot men swordfighting in Paris.

I really wish they'd try to make something original rather than just reboot the franchise but well, at least it won't have cannibals...

I would definitely kill a few Immortals for a new series, but like the Robot Chicken episode where it's all teen girl celebrities instead of warriors.

This only partly has to do with wanting to watch Miley Cyrus get decapitated.

I think my main reservation about a remake is that they might hire someone else to play Methos. Peter is getting a bit old and his character isn't supposed to age.

They'd have to. Peter just doesn't look Immortal anymore (which I don't mind, actually, since he's aged like fine wine). But as long as they kept the character steady, I think it would be okay.

When the series was in its initial run, the local paper's TV Guide always had an ad that was a picture of MacLeod's sword, with the single sentence, "He slices, dices, and juliennes." (A takeoff on those ubiquitous late-night Ginzu knives commercials.) I used to grin every time I saw it. B!S: I looooved those cheesy flashbacks, in a way that is entirely unhealthy.
