Well, I do like the series and hope they die. If they didn't then what would be the point? I mean, the whole purpose in the original play was the fact that their deaths would end the fighting. Had then run off together and been all happy and romantic and stuff the feud would have continued regardless.
I do think, however ... Julius Ceasar as an anime series would have hurt my soul, not because I liked the play -- far from it, I think it was the one I hated. I was more of an Othello fan -- but because I don't need to see historical figured drawn as bishes. Really, don't want that.

Lol. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, but ... I really don't want to see historical bishounen running around. Shakespeare's play did enough to screw with history, an anime would be bad.
There's always Rome to sate any desire for historical mansex.
