139: [sigh] I feel you. I haven't written anything for awhile, even though I have a lot of ideas...
/crai moar

143: That's... just wrong. If someone complains their fandom doesn't get enough attention, you're saying the fandom is irrelevant?
And, ya know, if you just listed the fandom, people might actually reply to the rest of the secret...

Re: 143
What?
I'm talking about when I post a secret like, "There's a certain author that does something or another etc etc" and everyone immediately wants to know the fandom rather than reading the actual content of the secret. Why would I list the fandom when it isn't remotely relevent?

Your post implies you're referring to other cases, actually. If you just wanted to talk about cases involving you, you should have said so.

Why would I list the fandom when it isn't remotely relevent?

Cuz if you do, people will stop asking you what it is. Given how much it bothers you, it seems to me like it would be worth it for you to just list the fandom and not having to deal with people asking. You know, "better to light a candle than curse the darkness"?

I guess I'm just not a proponent for opening a can of worms when it isn't necessary, but more power to you if you are.

And yet you post secrets that, if someone simply knows what fandoms they are, could do so? That sounds more like an issue with that you choose to post about than the people asking a perfectly reasonable question.

But to a lot of people, whether you have a legitimate reason to be mad/happy, or whether you're just butthurt/crazy matters a lot to how they reply. Also, a lot of those secrets (I don't know if yours are, but) are about mods, and those mods probably want to defend themselves. You're acting as if those secrets should be in a vacuum, and that's kinda ridiculous to me. People judge, and they want more info to know if they're judging correctly.

I know you probably want commiserating responses that you feel anyone can give regardless of fandom. But if you're opinion is controversial, which it should be if it's a secret, people probably feel more comfortable responding if they are a part of the fandom (or conversely if they aren't). Or they like what you say about the fandom and what to get involved. Hence the questions.

You're assuming the motivations of people on the internet. Getting upset when you have no valid info is a pretty irrational thing to do.
