I didn't say that, now did I? I said that I happened to think Ty Lee was hispanic. And that I could see Suki being white. (Though really, she strikes me as hispanic too.)

I took this to be a justification for "so of course they're all white/it's okay for them to be white," which is an argument I've heard so many times I've lost count. If that's not how you meant it, I apologize. However, I don't think your argument is valid either way. Just because you aren't familiar with the visual and textual cues that point to Asian or Inuit-inspired (in the case of the Water Tribes) cultural backgrounds for every character on the show doesn't mean they aren't there. It also doesn't make it okay for the filmmakers--though the term is used loosely in the case of Shyamalan--who should be responsible for doing proper research (which is rare enough, admittedly) on their chosen subject to ignore the extensive world-building, character design and development--not to mention the significance of having non-white heroes for young children--just so they can make yet another "grim and serious white people save the world from brown people" fantasy movie.

I am curious as to how you arrived to the conclusion that Ty Lee and Suki are Hispanic, however, though I really have a hard time buying it.

I tend to think of most of them as Asian. Ty Lee's features just seem more Hispanic to me.
