Why would it be bad if people knew that they were together? Certainly it would get them more press and they would be more popular I assume. I guess because they don't want people to know their personal lives?

The entertainment industry isn't really all that keen on bisexuality/lesbianism. While it would make them more popular in the gay community, it would probably hinder them from getting 'good' roles. Especially if they wanted to work in Hollywood. Gay people in the industry are fine, openly gay people a lot less so.

Also, potentially, it could hurt them because fans could be annoyed LK lied to their fans for so long.
