I remember I was talking to my non-fandom friends about the movie and they were like "Oh yeah, I remember Anastasia. ..... Dimitri was hot."

We need another live-action version with Ian Somerhalder in the role. That's pretty much just me though lol. xD

I think Anastasia was the first film I watched where I had a character I really liked. I mean really liked. It wasn't until a few years later I figured out why. =] So you're not the only one, Anon.

Dmitri might be second only to Disney-fox-Robin Hood for crushes, so you're far from alone.

And a lot of longest-standing crushes are on animated characters because so many of them date from childhood when people are mainlining animation. Mine is X the Owl, a hand puppet, so I'm not far from that mark.

I swooned over both of them. I had trouble deciding who I liked more.

When I saw the movie in first grade, I loved Dimitri because he was cute and tricky. Also, he got beaten up a whole lot by Rasputin and Anastasia got to kick Rasputin's ass for that. That was pretty awesome, too.

I wouldn't say I was into him, but I still kinda wish I'd bought a Dmitri doll after the movie came out. I had a chance, but didn't. I hadn't even seen the movie at that point, but I was still big on dolls then and had Anastasia and her grandmother. Oh well.

At least your longest lasting cartoon crush is human. I've been crushing on Simba since I was five. And frankly, you picked a good character to crush on. Congrats on having good taste!

I love that movie in all it's historically inaccurate glory. It's fun and the soundtrack is wonderful. Also Dmitri is smexy and awesome. You have no reason to keep this a secret.

Anastasia secret, fuck yeah! I, too, am not ashamed to admit that this is my most favorite movie of all time. ~~OF ALL TIME.~~ I never really swooned over Dimitri, but I can definitely see why a lot of other people would.
