I haven't read the manga yet. I still need to find it. I was interested in the summary, and thought I'd watch... and then character death slammed upon me. I weep.

But you're right, it is a good drama. If only I could get myself to watch the last three eps.

I'd recommend Banana Fish before the Yasha manga. Yasha isn't bad, but it just doesn't have the same power Banana Fish does for me. (My copy still has tearstains from when I started reading in the bookstore and burst into tears...)
