oh god that show is AWFUL
wooden acting from everybody except Nathan Fillon and I am sorry I just can't suspend my disbelief. why is he allowed to follow her around? why is she so respected as a detective even though she's only like, 25? christ
and the dialogue sucks ass
even Grey's Anatomy is better than this show, at least the acting/dialogue is occasionally decent |:

It really doesn't help that there's not a lot else he actually gets to do. I mean, two years on Castle, I don't think I've actually seen him even lose his temper once. Or be mean. Or even upset. The most he gets to be is quietly bothered.

I love Castle, but saying it's better than Firefly is going a bit too far, and not just because they're very different shows. That's up there with saying any of the Beatles' solo careers were better than the band.

And yes, they are two very different shows. Really, the only thing between them that I am comparing is the entertainment value that I get out of them. Which is equal.

I love Castle too. It reminds me of Remington Steele which I will always love of since it was my favorite show as a kid. It's just pure escapism and fun.

I guess it depends on how you define the "best" to you, entertaining and fun, or something like Dexter (which I also love) that's serious almost all the time. I enjoy the hell out of Castle because it's just fun to watch and entertaining but it's not the sort of thing that would win Emmys.

Tell it, anon. As much as I liked Firefly, I think it is seriously over-rated. People act like it's the pinnacle of perfection. Please.

Nothing wrong with liking a show for its entertainment value, and Castle's got it in spades. I'm sorry people don't seem to get that.
