Well they established that the other universe/pre-After-Life place was where they went when they died, so since those few actually seemed to get off the Island on the plane that worked it makes sense that they'd get back to shore and live out their lives (plus Kate's comment of missing Jack like she hadn't seen him in a long time makes me believe/hope she lived out a nice long life).
