10. I really like Haruka/Usagi, but I really hope this isn't because of Michiru hate. That's the only reason I left the Haruka/Usagi fandom. Really, the Michiru bashing was just kind of dull and pointless, and it was hard liking Haruka/Michiru at the same time in that fandom, since everyone would call her a sue (which is hilarious, considering how Usagi fits that role a lot more). Haruka's relationship with both women is interesting and also completely different. Both relationships bring out different sides of her, also. As for Michiru.... She may not be appealing to everyone, but she isn't 'boring'. She's got one of the most hardcore sense of duty personalities out there, and is a pretty big badass. She's also very mysterious. But who am I kidding? I love Setsuna and half th fandom hated her. :-P

The fandom hates Setsuna...? o_o; Wow, I never noticed XD;

But hey, Chibiusa's my favorite and she gets tons of bashing... I guess maybe I didn't notice because I don't like Setsuna as much...? XD;

As for the pairing debate, I like...both. Haha XD;

Many people called Setsuna 'boring' and too tragic, and now that translates to emo I guess.

Poor Chibiusa :-( not even a fave of mine but I hated the bashing she got/gets.

Yeah, it can get really unreasonable... Though, if the basher in question has only seen the anime, I don't entirely blame them ¬_¬

One person's interesting is another person's dull. But I don't ship them to bash on Michiru--she doesn't interest me, but I'd like Haruka/Usagi even if I liked her. I just get sick of feeling like Haruka/Michiru is some sort of holy couple that must never, ever be violated.

??? Who says that? Haruka/Michiru is my OTP but I adore Haruka/Usagi, even if I don't like Usagi and she bores ME to death. But then again you're always going to get people who freak out if you break up a canon couple. I don't mind when people do Haruka/Usagi, as long as it's well written and not meant to bash Michiru or just forget about her completely. If I based my feelings on a pairing or couple solely on how fandom makes the couple come off, I'd hate Haruka/Usagi because of the bashing that happens a lot. However, I don't really care what the other fans of it think, so it becomes cute and tolerable to me. :-)

Sorry if you have had bad experiences with Haruka/Michiru canon nazis. It's my favorite pairing and I assure you, I don't try to burn people at the stake who want to pair them up with others ;-)

I kinda have to agree. I love HarukaxMichiru, but one of the lesser reasons that Rei/Minako is my OTP instead of it is because practically everyone and their dog loves that pairing.

Oh man :[ I can never NOT like a pairing because it's popular (or like something just because it's unpopular), because while it tends to have more annoying fandoms the larger it gets, I don't really think the popularity of a pairing reflects on the quality or dynamics of it. I love HXM and ReiXMinako and those are two pretty popular ones, but I also love Setsuna/Hotaru which is extra squicky and weird for most people :P

Usually, popularity doesn't affect my decision for ANYTHING. I guess I just get tired of seeing nothing but HarukaxMichiru fanworks, and barely anything else. It's more of an "something else, already" mentality than an "ew, it's popular!" one. :/
(On that note, I am EXTREMELY tired of Axel/Roxas and Sasuke/Naruto fanart. Yes, there are talented artists in both fandoms and some of the fanart is SO PRETTY, but AUGH. NO MORE. I'M TIRED OF SEEING IT EVERYWHERE AND HAVING IT FLOOD MY INBOXES.)

AHHAAH I know. It is creepy. But I basically got tired of seeing so much ChibiUsa/Hotaru, and while I like the pairing, I just wanted something different so I thought HEY WOULDNT IT BE REALLY CONFLICTING AND WRONG IF HOTARU STARTED DIGGING ON SETSUNA? And thus, it was born. Kind of like how you feel about Haruka/Michiru XD

In general, I just don't like the entire Sailor Team being portrayed as a bunch of closeted horny lesbians... ¬_¬ But yeah, there's a lot of Chibiusa/Hotaru, and I don't go for that pairing either.
