I had a similar experience. Lurked around a few fandoms, found one that really inspired me to write and participate, and all of a sudden I got involved in the other fandoms. You are certainly not alone, anon.

That's exactly how I am. I float around in fandoms that I do like a lot, but not enough to commit time to actually contribute with fanart or fanfic. Sometimes I forget to check comments on anything new because I just don't care that much to know things as they come out. I can wait. But sometimes I get into a fandom I love everything about it. I love the fandom itself enough to motivate me to do things for it and I love to hate the people, so I'm active in commenting. It does leak to other fandoms, but I think it's because I'm bored waiting for the other one to have something new to talk about lol.
