THIS. I really hate the sentiment that less female characters in a story ALWAYS = misogyny. Some people are just more comfortable/better at writing a certain gender than another.

Find someone in your life that makes you think of a big daddy. I could never play until a friend of mine, who's a Marine/ HUGE!, said he was the big daddy to my little sister. After that I could play on my own, and even beat the whole 2nd game.
