NGL OP, this secret has MADE MY LIFE!!!! This was my favourite video game in the history of the world throughout my entire childhood. And I agree. It used to scare the living daylights out of me, and even now I still think it's creepy!

Wow....sorry for the fear it caused you, but man...I'm super excited about the fact that there is a Midnight Rescue secret ♥

[identity profile] cherrim.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
omgomgomgomgomg

This game used to terrify me as a kid. D: I really liked the game because I was good at it (well, at everything but the taking pictures part xD) but I would only be able to play it if my dad were sitting with me to hit the spacebar when the robots would pop up.

:( I downloaded it and played it recently for kicks and it still makes me inexplicably nervous, ahaha.

Gawd, I remember playing this game when I was in elementary school and I had no idea what I was doing. lolol

[identity profile] hyaenid.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
OP ilu

I loved the Super Solver games as a kid, but I never managed to finish Midnight Rescue because it freaked me out so badly.

[identity profile] smokingguncafe.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
OH MY GOD THOSE WERE MY FAVORITE GAMES EVERRRR

I liked the one with the TV station!

Oh, oh, and the later ones? Where you got to swim underwater in one, and climb up a mountain with some little elves and shit in the other? I downloaded a ROM emulator and played those in college. pffftt what am I saying that was Earthbound nvm this was a straight up download

What weirded me out more than anything was that you never saw what the kid in the jacket and hat looked like.

Holy shit don't show that screenshot to me, Jesus Christ.

[identity profile] avianthropy.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG, I had almost completely forgotten about that game until I saw this secret! All I could remember was some game where you go around a school at night looking for clues and it had freaky music, but the robots and everything else would've been a blank.

Yeah, now I remember how scary it'd be when they just APPEARED asldjasd;ksak

WHOA, CHILDHOOD MEMORIES JUST CAME FLOODING BACK TO ME.

[identity profile] radio-nurse.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
: O

I had totally forgotten about these games! They made my childhood. Thanks, OP, for reminding me.

Educational computer games were the shit, and I wish they were still as popular.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_dahne_/ 2010-06-26 08:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Holy shit, someone else played this game! For a kid's game about reading, it was damn creepy. And I say this as somebody who isn't really scared by Silent Hill.

[identity profile] theorygirl.livejournal.com 2010-06-26 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Never played that one, but I used to love Outnumbered, even though those livewire things scared me so bad. I hated how your skeleton would show if you landed on them, plus the whole "bzzzzt" sound effect....
