I'm sure OP isn't against swearing. They're against using the word fuck all over when one can just use more colorful words and maybe OOC swearing (the quotes has some).

No, I understand that. And when there's tons of "fuck this" and "fuck that" in fandoms where there is little to no swearing, I agree that it feels strange. Spongebob does not say things like "Burn in hell, you fucking cunt." But OP didn't specify that, which annoyed me. Many fandoms have characters that swear A LOT and to not have them use "fuck" every few sentences would seem weird and out of character.

Yeah, exactly. Can you imagine a Pulp Fiction fic where Jules goes eight minutes without swearing? Or Askewniverse characters, like Jay and Silent Bob - why do you think the Animated Series crashed and burned after six episodes?
