Absolutely 100% me too. And they're always really angsty and I find myself sitting on the bus with the strangest expressions on my face. And strangers sometimes call out "cheer up love" and I realize that I'm looking really intense and depressed, because I'm so deeply involved in the dramas of my inner world.

I've never even found that a bit fucked up until I just wrote it out.

I hope to god this secret gets a lot of these kinds of "me too" comments, otherwise I'm going to feel like a total freak.

You're not a freak, you just have a very active imagination. I do this too, like the anon above said, sometimes that's how I get to sleep. I figure it's better than sleep aids for someone who has had problems with insomnia in the past. ;)

I wish I felt comfortable as a creative writer though, since it would be sort of cathartic to get it all out in fic. Somehow the fic seems more legitimizing than just having stories constantly rattling around in your head without ever putting them out there.

I'm the same way.

The trouble with fic, is that then you have to make all the little details make sense. I already end up getting myself in a state about filling the plot holes in my mental version, which is really annoying, because aargh, it's a fantasy, it's allowed plot holes!

So I can mostly only write fic when I have such seriously bad insomnia that the stories are telling themselves in my head, and I cannot sleep no matter what because they're keeping me awake, so I get up and sit down and bash them out on the keyboard without letting my brain get involved.

Mostly it's just short pieces and one-shots on a scenario though, because any fic based on the whole complex worlds going on would be blatant self-insert.

THIS. It's so bloody annoying, it's just for my own amusement, it doesn't matter if things don't make sense and yet I find myself trying to figure out some logical explanation for how it works or why it is like that.
