I think Slender Man is just a cool idea, and it's cool how organically (and quickly) he developed. It makes me wonder if this is a fast-forward version of how other urban legends and even fairy tales/fairy tale creatures evolved. The fact that you can still see the post where he began is nifty.

I guess this is off topic. It makes sense that you'd be most scared by your OWN story, OP, because you probably delved into your own, personal fears to write it. Also, you're more likely to dream about it because you spent a lot of time thinking about it in order to write it. Not unusual at all.

I think the person who drew that picture took "he doesn't have a face" to mean "he doesn't have skin on his face".

Yeah, Slender Man gave me nightmares a couple times and I often got paranoid about him being in my house. I'm kind of over it now. Also, he's creepier without the face.
