I don't think there's anything wrong with that. You just imagine the voices too. It's like imagining accents, or something. Voices are important to a lot of people.

I'm a writer, and I do this for my characters, too. I think it's perfectly acceptable. How a person speaks, the accent they have, etc. is crucial to developing personalities.

I also do this for books and comics I read. I always wonder who would voice them, and sometimes I'll even record my own voice in character, just for fun.

Every time I've drawn a comic I like to imagine what it would look like animated but I've oddly never thought about who I would want to do the voices, though most of the voice actors I'm familiar with are all Japanese so that's probably why. Seems like in North America there are only a few voice actors who have voices that are immediately recognizable to me, like Patrick Warburton -- it's more common here for voice actors to go the Mel Blanc route and do several different voices. In Japan there are only a few VAs that do that, the majority have pretty distinctive voices that are immediately recognizable, like Norio Wakamoto or Megumi Ogata.

Nothing wrong with it! The only reason I started watching Kuroshitsuji II is because Sakurai Takahiro does one on the main characters. 'Cos let's face it, the first anime was hardly a masterpiece...

I do the same thing! It's a lot of fun, and I think it also helps me to get a better feel of the character's personality.

I don't think it's weird at all. If I can get a good sense of a character's "voice" it makes the character so much easier to write consistently.

I agree. I was pretty proficient at naming voice actors just by the sound of their voice a few years ago, and now I can't help but give my characters voices too. :)

No way, nothing strange about that. I do it too. When I'm buzzing with ideas for a story or characters, I tend to consider every detail possible. Hearing famous voices in my head or matching them to known samples helps with characterization a lot.
