Excluding him, the main protagonist has TWO best friends (Cheren and Belle) who choose the two other starter pokemon you didn't choose. Both of them end up being your friendly rivals along the journey.

"N" is just that stalker guy who wishes to fight you for justice. I guess he does count as a rival too. Omg, I want this game so bad right now.

Nah, CoroCoro said that N is "one of" the antagonists. I just hope this doesn't mean that he's the head of some evil team or whatever, because while I love Team Rocket and thought Team Galactic was kind of interesting (Team Aqua and Magma are just lulzy to me), I would like to see something a bit . . . fresh.

That said, I love N, and I feel like he could be an awesome antagonist in his own right. =D
