Well, the official name is Die deutsche Fußballnationalmannschaft, right? I think people just say "Die Mannschaft" for short, LOL

Yes, it is, but nobody says "Die Mannschaft" in Germany, that's why I always get confused. ;) My first reaction is always "What Mannschaft?!". xD In Germany we use the official name much more often. Or just "National-Elf" if we wanna keep it short. :) (National Eleven has a nice ring to it in English, too. :))
