Bad guys also talk about how hot Hermione is and she gets whistled at buy a bunch of guys and so on. I don't see how being hot makes someone a sue sorry.

It's part of the "all the guys want her" aspect of Sues. You might have random characters whistle at Hermione, but you don't have a whole discussion between the lead character's rival and his friends about how hot she is. Ginny, on the other hand, does get this treatment, for no discernible reason other than to identify to the reader that Ginny is smokin' hot.

Hmm, still don't see it. Hermione is called pretty a few times as well and is wanted by an international quidditch player and random death eaters and Harry has all the girls over him. So if Ginny was a unique one, I'd understand but it just seems how JKR wrote all the characters.

It's different because, aside from Krum (who isn't a bad guy, and described as looking pretty much like a young version of Snape, so not too handsome himself), when the 'bad guys' like Hermione it is represented in a really creepy way, like the way Fenrir talks to/about her, it has abusive tones to it. When Draco and Blaise talk about Ginny it is just about establishing how hot she is, not about establishing how depraved they are.

So let me get this straight, random death eaters talking about Hermione is creepy but when they talk about Ginny it's not ? Pansy is the only one who calls Ginny pretty while Draco and Blaise don't comment about Ginny at all, Blaise just says she's a blood traitor, but there is a death eater who says pretty to Ginny and that's not creepy ?

Pansy's the only one who calls her pretty. She claims Draco thinks it, but he doesn't confirm it. Her assumption could be made on the fact that someone, somewhere called her pretty, Draco didn't argue like he normally would because his mind was clearly on other things that year after his father was imprisioned and he'd become a DE (Harry tells us repeatedly how checked-out Draco it all year) and to an insecure girl like Pansy, that's all but confirmation. I mean, I didn't take that scene to be a, "Let's talk about how hot Ginny is!" scene at all. Pansy's smug smile at the end when Blaise calls Ginny a blood traitor shows she's just exhibiting petty teenage girl jealousy over a girl she doesn't know and wants all her friends to hate her and call her ugly too.

Pansy calling her pretty is the biggest proof of all. She says something like "lots of guys think she's attractive." She's threatened by her and is pleased when Blaise rejects her--even if he doesn't say she she isn't pretty.

Dude, sometimes girls are threatened by other girls they perceive to be hotter than them. It's petty and I wish they weren't but I'd be lying if I said I didn't fall into that myself sometimes. Ginny is an attractive character. Many real people are also attractive. That don't make her a Sue.

And I just remembered, even Krum talks about how hot Ginny is at the wedding. It's like every male character feels the need to point it out. Hermione dated him, but he didn't talk about her body to other people, so it didn't feel like the same kind of shallow plug for her.
