I just wanted to congratulate you. There are very few people in the world who have the strength to realise that they were wrong. Most just ignore those who disagree with them, but it's a sign of real strength of character when you can say "You know what? Maybe you're right".

It really bothers me how much hatred people get for admitting that they used to think homosexuality was wrong. It works against the whole concept of being open-minded. Sometimes, some people have to open it up - it doesn't always come pre-opened.

I used to think homosexuality was wrong, but I don't anymore. It wasn't an instant transformation either. You know what? It's become that much more personal to me, because it's something I put a lot of thought into, and there were a lot of reasons for me to change my opinion.

Also, you don't have to always explain yourself. Remember that.

I don't watch Skins, but I just wanted to say congrats, anon!! I used to be extremely homophobic in middle school/early high school, and now refuse to admit it to anyone. (Hence me going anon now even though I'm but a lurker) A good part of me is still really embarrassed and ashamed of the opinions I used to hold, but I hope that I can help relieve some of that shame through my actions and current opinions.
