Just wait until the Internet Authorities start deciding slash itself is offensive, just as a concept.

Already happened last year. Most of them had no experience with slash fandom, and made a lot of mistakes (most notably claiming that there were no queer slashers, and that queer women slashers didn't count, because they couldn't understand "real" homophobia). Actually, I thought some made good points, but they were overshadowed by ones who said that women couldn't write slash because they didn't know about the Red Cross's policy of turning away gay men.
