I've seen some ficauthors play with the idea of Peter being ftm and do it pretty awesomely... I figure there's really no hope for Heroes itself, but I'm glad the fandom, when it was good, was really good.

Damn, I really wish I could remember more! It's been a long time. :( I could have sworn 47_trek_47 did as well, but while backtracking through her stuff I only found a couple genderplay (kinkmeme fill (http://47-trek-47.livejournal.com/280938.html?thread=1976426#t1976426)) and cross-dressing (here (http://trkkr47.seeking-solace.com/fanfic/nathanfic/Fall2000.html)) fic. Not quite the same, albeit pretty hot.
