WRONG. If you're a woman, your looks are your number one asset. Everything else is secondary.

Fat women can be happy - surprise. But that's because they're pretty fat women. They have beautiful faces, great hair, good sense of style, often big breasts etc.

And plain doesn't equal ugly either. Most girls who claim to be ugly are just plain compared to Hollywood starlets. Of course they don't have much issues with looks. Being actually, objectively ugly is a whole different thing.

No. I would say my brain is my top asset. My personality is another. Looks fade, and women who rely on them for their success (unless they're actors or models) are going to be in for a rude awakening once they're not young, fresh-faced and a size four anymore.

You're equating happy with pretty. Most of these things, including a good sense of style and great hair, can be acquired. There are thin women who don't look good because they've got ratty hair, their eyebrows have never seen a tweezer and they wear sweatpants 24/7. Very few people look pretty without at least some effort on their part.

Most of the women I've known who have been vocally insecure about their looks, breast-size, men, etc. have been conventionally pretty and thin women. That does not guarantee "happiness".

And plain doesn't equal ugly either. Most girls who claim to be ugly are just plain compared to Hollywood starlets. Of course they don't have much issues with looks. Being actually, objectively ugly is a whole different thing.

Very few people are objectively UGLY, though. And all of the people I know who want partners and are open to being in a relationship do find people to date and/or marry.

I agree that many people who claim to be plain or ugly aren't either one and are sometimes fishing for compliments and reassurance. "Oh, Jenny, you're not ugly!"

But people are usually harder on themselves than other people are. I was very self-conscious about some aspects of my appearance too, but frankly, life is too short, and people are mostly focusing on their own flaws, not mine or yours.
