I thought the ones liking either of the Gavins were in the minority. After the hype for AJ died out, I rarely see anyone in the fandom talking about those characters. Everyone returned to the PW schedule, even CAPCOM.
I do agree that Kristoph wasn't a good villain and his motivation/actions seem really shallow. He's fun to mock, however.
I strongly disagree about Klavier, but if you're so set in your point of view I think I'd be wasting my time ranting on why I don't find him flat. So I'll skip that, haters gonna hate, etc. Instead, I must say I don't understand why the interpretation of dependency I keep seeing. I didn't think they were even close at all. After case 4-1, I saw Klavier going on with his life normally, and he's only anxious when he faces Kristoph on case Misham. I took it as a reaction when having to antagonize someone psycho from your family and they're pressuring you to take on their side. But eh, whatever gives evidence to your logic system.
